Guess where I'll be this weekend?
At the epicness that is:
This is my first time going to YALLfest, and with a lineup of over 40 YA authors and tons of panels to attend, I can't wait.
My sister, whom I like to mention around this time every year, is going with me for a fun, book-filled, girls weekend. (We don't get to do this much anymore, so it's going to be AMAZING!)
For those of you that are new to the blog or haven't been around long enough to hear her story, she's my family's miracle, and it's this time of year we normally participate in the annual Walk-for-Wishes campaign put on by the Make-A-Wish Organization.
We're going to miss the walk this year, as it falls on the same weekend and we planned our trip in advance, but the rest of our family will be there supporting, and we're still raising money.
If you'd like to donate, you can do so HERE, and, as a family who has benefited from the wish granting process, in doing so, you'll help a child and family who are currently going through a really dark, rough time. So, if you're moved to donate, THANK YOU so much.
And if you happen to be attending YALLFEST next weekend and happen to see my sister and I wandering around, please DO introduce yourselves and say "Hi". I love meeting new people!

Sandy and I at last year's Walk for Wishes!
Before I forget, best of luck to all my NaNoWriMo authorly/writerly friends out there! Pound out those words, and kudos to you for being so brave! I'm always tempted to participate, but the thought of writing and not being able to edit as I go FREAKS me out. (I'm weak, I tell you, WEAK!!!)
Happy November everyone!

Peace, love, and books! ;)

  1. I'm excited to have happened upon your blog today, and for all the writing blogs that you have listed! Yours looks like a great place to be! And have fun with your family!
