Texas? Yes, please.

In a week, I'll be there.

In Texas.

What should I pack? What should I wear? What's the weather like?

Will my friends love me as much as I love them?

These are the thoughts running in a constant loop through my head right now, so I ask you, blogosphere, do you live in Texas? Is it hot? Because I imagine it's HOT.

Besides entire vats of sunscreen, what should I bring along? (Have you seen me? I'm pale. Like pasty white. I burn walking to my car. For reals.)

And are YOU doing any summer traveling? Do tell.

  1. Have so much fun in Texas! I was in Dallas for a con in January, but the weather I'm sure will be much different now. BE CAREFUL if you ask for something spicy because nobody does spicy like Texans. (I learned when asking for an extra spicy bloody mary and my mouth almost burned away, ha!)

  2. I'm going to Arkansas for a week (vacation) at the end of this month. It will be hot. And I'm going to Atlanta during the Labor Day weekend (Dragon*Con). It will be hot. Anything south of Ohio will be hot. Heck, even Ohio is hot in the summer!!

Have fun in Texas. Pack plenty of sunscreen (or just stay indoors where it will be cooler).

    1. Dragon*Con sounds fun!!! I live in NC and thus far *fingers crossed* we've had a super mild summer. I know the heat is coming, but it's teasing me and hasn't happened yet. I have a feeling Texas will remedy that fast. :)

  4. Yes, it's hot! I can attest to that! :) But it's also air conditioned whenever you go inside, so it didn't bother me that much.

I hope you girls have a great time. I know you will!

My family is heading to the ocean in July where it's cold and breezy. It'll be nice to take a vacation, I think. :)

  5. I would love to go to Texas! I hope you have a great time. No real summer plans, a weekend in Birmingham, a week in Kent and another weekend in Manchester (all in UK) - so will expect rain :)

    1. Thanks Talli! You lived in Texas for a summer? Aren't you in the UK, or am I crazy? I could be crazy. (very possible).

Either way, that's awesome. And I'm totally packing for the heat. :)

  8. Good ole Texas! Have fun when you go!
I lived there for three whole weeks and it was during the hottest part of the year. We went swimming and it was like swimming in a warm tub...I actually loved that:) And they have some killer tex-mex!

  10. Aww.... So I'm really late on reading this, but I totally loved you! So when are you moving to Texas?! Don't hold the sauna like weather against us. It's only like this for part of the year! Haha!! :)

    1. Right back 'atcha, Kim! Only wish we had longer...though my wallet couldn't take much more shopping. ;)

And next time, how about I visit in the WINTER?

  11. Hehehe because it's winter here, I'm trying to hunker down as much as possible. Hope you're having a good time. :-)

    1. Rub it in, Misha, rub it in! ;)

It was so HOT. And then I came home and somehow, in my absense, it became HOT here--like in the 100's. Miserable.

Hunkering down sounds pretty good to me! Can we trade seasons?
