Let the countdown BEGIN!!! Only one more week...

It's hard to believe it's REALLY, finally here!

In less than a week, guess where I'll be?

(HINT: it has nothing to do with books, but rhymes with Hemingway--sort of.)

Any guesses?

That's right!  FENWAY PARK!

I'll be watching a little baseball game against a little team you've probably never heard of:

This is officially my first time seeing my boys play in their hometown and my very first time to
legendary Fenway Park. I can hardly wait.

And what can be better than going to Fenway to see the Red Sox play the Yankees?
Going with two of my favorite people! We're leaving the little man in the
capable care of family and spending the weekend in Bean Town with my good friend (and former college
roommate) Shelly and her awesome husband (and fellow Red Sox addict) Jay.

Good times!

And let us not forget one of my favorite players:

The one and only Dustin Pedroia

If you haven't already seen it, check out this inspirational commercial:

What about you bloggers?  Any baseball fans out there? What is your team of choice?
Have a favorite player? Someone who inspires you?

  1. How exciting!! Have an absolute blast! I love going to baseball games but I'm not much for choosing teams. I just choose the Astro's because I'm from Houston.

  2. Hello, Kristi. Boston sounds like fun. Enjoy! Go Sox! Down with the Evil Empire!!
I'm actually a CUBS fan, sad to say. I tell people that I long for the day when my tax return will have a box somewhere at the bottom for CUBS fans to check - since we've been giving to charity all year long. Lol!
*wipes tear* Perhaps one day we'll win! *sniff*

  3. Enjoy! Though I now live very far from Massachusetts, I grew up north of Boston and will always, always, always be a Red Sox fan. Go Sox!

  4. I. LOVE. BOSTON. (And the Red Sox) :-)

NO way are you going to see them play the Yankees. I would LOVE that!!!!

But what is up with them? They're supposed to be the best team in baseball right now and they're not starting out good at all. I know it's way too early but I'm nervous. LOL

  5. Wow, this time again huh? I haven't been to a baseball game in years, but we talked about going to an Astros game this season with some friends. I also don't like to watch sports on TV so I pretty much know nothing about everything sport related. LOL. Have fun!!!

  6. My husband and I visited Boston a couple years ago and took in a game at Fenway. It. was. awesome. I've been a Red Sox fan ever since, but I'm not a huge baseball fan for the most part...

AND the best meal I've had in my entire life was at this place called Kingfish Hall in Faneuil Hall Market Place. Lobster, blueberry bread, corn on the cob. yum.

Also, you won the giveaway on my blog :)

  7. Being from Houston, I root for the Astros.
I won't watch on TV, only in person and only if it's cheap. I'm all about the football...

  8. Looks like alot of you are from Houston! ;)

Have to say I'm with Jennifer though, this season hasn't started off too hot! What's going on??? I'm hoping for a late start and a turnaround about Sundayish...LOL!

Jimmy - I know quite a few Cubs fans too...keep hanging in there. It'll happen. *crosses fingers*

Samantha - I can't wait to visit first time!

Sara - That sounds DELICIOUS!!! (making mental note) And woot on the win!

Heather - for me, it's all about the baseball! (though I do admit I like the football too)

  9. So I don't really follow the Red Sox or the Yankees. Or baseball actually. But my brother is a huge Cubs fan. So...

Hm. Well, it sounds like a super cool trip! I think it's awesome that you get to go do something that makes you that excited! Yay Kristi! Hope you catch a ball. Or have the best hot dog EVER!! Have the best game of your life!

  10. Awesome! I'm from the West Coast-- so I have so many good memories of the Oakland As or the San Francisco Giants. (=
