Musical Tuesday

Good morning all!

Thanks to all my new followers, both here and on Twitter!

It's time again for musical Tuesday!

I thought today I'd let this new video and song help me revisit a bit of the past.

As some of you know (and some probably don't), I've had a long time crush *cough* *obsession* *cough* with Gavin Rossdale and the band Bush.  Love, love, love them.  Have every Bush album (my favorite is Razorblade Suitcase, thanks for asking), Institute album, and Gavin's solo album.

All of them honestly brilliant.  Seen them live quite a few times and there's just nothing like it.  Nothing.

I found this last week and just had to share:

Wow.  Every time I hear it, it reminds me of Bush back in the day and it gets me pumped up.  I can (and do) listen to it over and over some days.

So, what do you think???  Any other Bush/Gavin Rossdale fans?  This collaboration with Apocalyptica seems like a good and natural fit.

And for you NaNoWriMo peeps, how's it going???  Hanging in there???  Staying positive?  Need encouragement?  I'm here!

Hope you all have a great week!

  1. So sorry, Kristi....I probably wouldn't know a Bush song if I heard it... maybe one of the popular ones, but I can't even think of what they are! lol. I feel like I was in jr. high when they were really popular, and I didn't quite listen to the stations they played them on yet at that point.
Thanks for sharing the video! It's pretty neat. I like when they throw string instruments into a rock song.

  2. Great song! I love Bush and Gavin! I saw him live (solo) last year and he's a great frontman.
Bush just released a new album a few months ago, plus Gavin is featured on the new Santana album!

  3. Love it, I haven't heard this. I love Apocalyptica. Have you heard of "Evans Blue"-absolutely awesome if you haven't already? And Kristin just took me back in the day to Target when I asked where all the tapes were. This little girl at the counter is like...um...tapes...like...I don't know what you mean lady. LADY, she called me lady? It's not like I was asking for an 8 track or anything. Seriously, it was like 2001, tapes were still around sweetling. Worry not, I no longer have that beast of a car. I'm all high tech now with an AUX, no more tape drama thank God!

  4. Awesome #Bush blog =) I randomly came across your post here.. and I think you should check out my Bush tumblr page if you're a fan!

    xo, Ace

  5. His music is ok, good luck with NaNo... I hope you have a good week as well.

  6. I love Bush! Love them! I remember listening to them when I was younger and, aw, thinking about them now just brings back memories. :)
