Outstanding! You totally sucked me into the story...I don't say that lightly either. Very nice!
I love Van,but I think you already know that! And you didn't tell me you finished Hush,Hush!!! Didn't you just love it?!Have a great day and get busy on that book little missy!!
Great snippet! You left me with lots of questions. And you aren't the last person to read Hush, Hush because I haven't yet. It's on my list, but I'm really far behind.
That was a really good excerpt. I liked it. You said a lot within that short piece. I'm jealous. XD I'm way too wordy when I write.
Fantastic snippet!!! I want to know if Van heard her!!!As for Hush,Hush I believe I'm one of the last one's to read it... because I actually have yet to pick it up! Maybe on my plane ride to Los Angeles I'll read it!!
I love the excerpt from your story!I have yet to read Hush, Hush! I have heard great things about it.I received my winnings last week! Thanks again!!!!
Ooh, nice. Great dialogue and emotion. Thank you so much for sharing.
I wasn't planning on reading Hush, Hush, but now I think I might. None of my friends have and they're always my biggest influence. Must add it to my reading list now.
Interesting excerpt from the book. And Charleston is lovely. Thanks for stopping by. I am indeed planning to post about my progress and about the day hikes. As long as readers are enjoying it.
Love the snippet and love the blog. Keep up the incredible work! I love your attention to detail.
I think that everyone who knows me knows how much I hate Teaser Tuesday, and this is a perfect illustration why!! Hummmmpph!! I want more!! :)I'm glad you had fun in S.C.!
This is wonderful, Kristi! I loved the remark about giving the rocks in the path the respect they deserve. You sucked me right in and I almost forgot I was reading a blog!P.S. HURRAY! for opening day! But I say go A's! :-)
Ooh, there was so much to like in that, it's no wonder it's one of your favorites. Let me see if I can be specific for you...I loved that she kicked rocks around until she got to the path behind the house, making the distinction between which rocks deserved respect and the ones that were just plain old rocks.I loved how her emotions were evoked by caressing the tree.I loved how she played with the blade of grass when she was stalling and debating on what she should say to Van. It gave us a great image and broke apart the dialogue enough to properly give us that time to digest things with her.In summary, I loved your imagery. It was simple and beautifully done. I tend to be a bit on the wordy side, too. (obviously)I hope you'll stop by my blog tomorrow for Wee-Bit Wednesday and let me know what you think! :)
